Breaking the Barriers - Towards Women's Empowerment I would consider the main message of this book is that in our society, women are still a marginalized group; domestic violence is very common, and it reflects the psychosocial ill health of the society; empowerment of women is very important to abolish it and legal measures, political will, education of women, change of attitudes of the community and contributions of people like Mary Chandy could facilitate this.
